The Final Days Of Ernest Larman

Theo Goble and a small team have made a short film about The Final Days of Ernest Larman.

‘The Final Days of Ernest Larman’ tells the story of one of the men whose name is engraved on the war memorials in the village. Theo and the team had nothing but two medals, and a letter that was sent home to his parents to help them bring his story to life.

The film will take the viewer back 109 years. The team used archive material; both local and also licensed footage filmed on the Western Front in 1915.

Narration in the film was done by two Langfordians; Jacob Barnes and Linda Franklin.

Theo Goble and a small team made this beautiful short film over Christmas 2024, please feel free to watch on  https://vimeo.com/1044079526

Theo and the team are passionate about using film as a way to tell important stories, and do their bit to preserve local history.

Please Note, this project was self-funded and they don’t want to charge anyone to see it.
